Meet
Kelley Moultry,
MPH, MCHES

Kelley Moultry's path into healthcare started with her mother. When her mother was diagnosed with diabetes, she left the doctor's office with a stack of brochures and little else. No one walked her through what the diagnosis meant for her meals, her medications, or her daily routine. She was left to figure it out on her own. Kelley watched her mother struggle, and she saw a gap that families across the country face every day. People were being handed information when they needed education and support. That moment set the direction for her career.

Kelley Moultry CEO of Jengu Health Soutions and Executive Director of National Alliance for DSME Readiness

At the Alabama Quality Assurance Foundation, Kelley trained at the University of Illinois Chicago and served as Lead Trainer for the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program. In that role she trained more than 100 nurses and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists across Alabama to improve the quality of diabetes education in their communities.

Kelley went on to work with several diabetes technology startups. She helped launch virtual diabetes education and prevention programs and managed their accreditation processes from the ground up.

Her most significant role came when CMS hired her as Lead National Auditor for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) and their accredited programs nationwide. Kelley has audited more than 180 clinics, community organizations, and hospital systems across the country. She provided each site with recommendations for quality improvement. She also advised ADA and ADCES on how to communicate the standards of diabetes education more clearly to the programs they accredit. Today she serves on the national committee developing the 2027 National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support.

Today Kelley is a national public speaker on chronic disease management, healthcare quality, health equity, and patient-provider relationships. She is the Chief Executive Officer of Jengu Health Solutions™, founded in 2022, and the Executive Director of its flagship program, the National Alliance for DSME Readiness™ (NADR), founded in 2024. She has spent more than 14 years in diabetes education and prevention.

Kelley began her career at the YMCA as a diabetes prevention health coach and trainer, working directly with participants to lower their risk of type 2 diabetes. She then moved into quality improvement as a certified practice facilitator in North Carolina. There she helped health systems achieve Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition under the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Kelley Moultry speaking at a national healthcare conference

Kelley has spoken at national conferences on healthcare quality improvement, motivational interviewing, and medical mistrust. She has developed curriculum for national programs, including Susan G. Komen's National Patient Navigation Training Program and the Health Equity Revolution Summit, along with training courses on diabetes education documentation and quality practices. She is also a published author in the Journal of Oncology Navigation & Survivorship.

All of this experience shaped Jengu Health Solutions™. Kelley built the company on a simple belief. Health and healthcare offer a wide range of opportunities, and people at every stage deserve guidance to reach them. That belief extends to young people who are deciding their future with very little support. Through her work with Alabama AHEC, Kelley educated high school students statewide about careers in healthcare, giving them the information they need to choose a path with confidence.

Jengu Health Solutions™ now supports learners across the full spectrum of a healthcare career. It starts with high school students exploring their options and continues through the professional development that helps practitioners grow and lead. Kelley's mother was left to figure things out alone. Kelley has built her career so that patients, students, and professionals don't have to.
